Parking in Platja d’Aro

Platja d’Aro has fairly comprehensive parking, with both free and paid car parks just set back from the main street running parallel to the beach.

While there is plenty of parking, even in the height of summer, be aware that on Friday mornings the Platja d’Aro market takes place in much of the free car park. First of all make sure you don’t park here overnight on Thursday or you’ll have your car towed.

Also the increased number of cars due to the market and the reduction in available parking means that many cars are parked on the road into Platja d’Aro.This results in traffic congestion in high season and you may have to park some distance away if you don’t want to pay for the car park.

You can also find fairly easy parking in the area behind the main shopping area. The area consists of well made roads with plots that have not yet been developed. You also find quite a few campervans around here, whether or not it is allowed.
