Although we spent many years going to El Port de la Selva for a fortnight every summer, this is the second year that we didn’t go; living nearer the sea helps of course.
We’d talked about going for the day during August, for one reason or another we couldn’t make it. So, just two days after starting back at work we decided to take the day off and head to Port de la Selva for a day of swimming and snorkelling.
We had a great day, and it was good to be back on such familiar territory. The whole of the Cap de Creus is starkly beautiful, with the volcanic rock full of holes, but the sunlight on the water here is makes it one of the best places on Earth.
