Work started to restore Roses beaches
May 16, 2013Work has commenced in Roses this week to move up to 38,000 cubic metres sand from the area adjacent to the marina to two beaches that have almost vanished over the winter thanks to storms. The work should take about a week to complete in order to get these areas ready for the summer season.
A more long term solution to the problem is being looked at by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, with the aim of preventing these beaches being washed away in future.
