Unemployment in Girona continues to grow despite seasonal reduction in March
April 3, 2013 Leave your thoughtsThe number of unemployed workers in the province of Girona fell by 2.24% in March compared with February, but the year on year figure remains upwards, with an increase of 2.15%.
Throughout Catalonia the year on year rise was more than 4% on the year, showing that the economic crisis is still ongoing, with the service sector being responsible for the vast bulk of the newly unemployed.
The figures for Spain as a whole are even worse, with unemployment increasing by almost 6% since March 2012.
