Unemployment in Catalonia falls in May as tourist sector gears up for summer
June 4, 2013 Leave your thoughtsThe number of unemployed workers in Catalonia at the end of May fell by nearly 15,000, according to figures released by Spain’s employment ministry, a fall of 2.26 percent.
This is the second biggest fall in unemployment figures recorded in May since the crisis began in 2008, with a 3.19 percent fall in May 2010; Employment picks up each year in May as companies gear up for the tourist invasion of the summer.
