Foreign tourism spent €7.68 billion in Catalonia between January and the end of July according to new stats, an annual increase of nearly 10%.
The average spend per person was €878, a 4.4% increase, suggesting that the number of tourists in Catalonia this year has been the cause of the overall increase in spending.
