Tourist related businesses bring in €600K to Estartit and Torroella de Montgrí

Businesses serving the tourist sector in Estartit and Torroella de Montgrí generated business worth almost €600,000 in 2012 according to a local study. Looking at activities such as hiking, horse riding and cycling, the study estimated economic activity generated both directly and indirectly to food and trade.

Since the study takes account of agencies and products that attract visitors who either visit for the day or stay overnight to participate in the various activities, the amount generated for the towns seems rather small; surely it should amount to millions.
