Seven arrested for Baix Empurdà burglaries as police mount raids

Police yesterday mounted an operation against a gang that has been responsible for burgling houses in the Baix Empordà while owners sleep inside.

Seven arrests were made when police mounted simultaneous raids of six properties in various towns across the region and say the operation is still not complete and that further arrests may still occur.

The gang has been responsible for around seventy robberies in the last few months, which has seen a spate of burglaries.
