Sant Pere Pescador campsites among best in Europe

Campsites in Sant Pere Pescador have received a big thumbs up from three big organisations representing European campers.

With five out of the town’s seven campsites receiving a mention, the town has the greatest concentration of campsites in Europe to have been recognised by ADAC, the German automobile club with some 17 million members, ANWB; the Dutch automobile club representing 4 million members; and the UK’s Alan Rogers Campsite Guides.

The campsites were inspected last summer, with the rankings announced just last month. Of the seven campsites in Sant Pere Pescador three of them, L’Aquarius, La Ballena Alegre and Las Dunas, have been included in Bestcamping 2013, a new guide produced jointly by ADAC and ANWB and which replaces the individual guides of the two organisations.

In addition, readers of the Alan Rogers’ guides rated Las Palmeras highly on their list of campsites on the Costa Brava.
