Police have arrested four people in Lloret de Mar linked to a Russian mafia money laundering operation.

Andrei Petrov was one of those arrested, accused of being the head of the crime syndicate and he reportedly had a Kalashnikov in his house when police made the arrest.

The group has allegedly laundered €56 million in the past two years and is linked to Semion Mogilevich, one of the FBI’s top 10 most wanted criminals.
