Platja d’Aro speed cops raise awareness of speeding

Local police in Platja d’Aro have started a campaign to raise awareness with motorists of speeding.

An indicator board will show a green light to motorists who are within the limit and red if they are speeding. The lights are portable and linked to a radar but will not be used to prosecute drivers.

Separately, there tends to be a heavy police presence on the C35/C65/C31 between the AP7 and Platja d’Aro on Fridays. If you are driving this section of road then be careful to stick to the limits, which vary between 80 and 100 km/h.
