Palamós prawn plan coming soon

A plan to save both the fishing industry in Palamós and the prawns for which the town is so famous is soon to be put into place following a symposium held on Saturday.

The prawn industry is worth 3 to 4 million euros each year to Palamós, with around 20 boats but the economic crisis has been taking its toll. Short term the aim to is regulate the capture of small prawns with the aim of maintaining fishing sticks longer term.
