New app for Apple and Android helps promote Ampurdan wines

A new app for iPhone and Android has just been released for free that enables wine lovers to find cellars, wines, and wine events related to DO Empordà, the Ampurdan’s protected wine classification.

The app allows users to located the nearest wine cellar, providing data such as opening times and contact numbers. It also provides a complete list of DO Empordà wines and a timetable of wine related events.

The release of the app forms part of an online marketing campaign using the Internet and social media to position the area’s products better and raise awareness.
