May sees big annual drop in Girona mortgages

The number of mortgages granted in May fell 43% year on year in Girona province, while dropping 19% from April, and the average house price now stands at €90,500, the lowest recorded figure since 2003.

It’s hard to think where exactly you can find properties selling for so little, certainly not on the coast. However, while there are some pockets of buyer activity, such as around Platja d’Aro according to reports, the general situation is not good.
