L’Escala seeks solutions for mobile coverage

L’Escala’s town council is putting the finishing touches to a plan for mobile phone masts in the town, with the mayor expecting the plans to be provisionally approved by December. Apparently the issue was important enough to be the focus of local election campaigns in 2011.

I visit l’Escala quite often and have never noticed particularly bad mobile reception. It’s far better, for example, than Platja d’Aro in August when Vodafone’s network seems to be saturated.
