Girona drivers more likely to be involved in road accidents

October 25, 2013

The risk of having road accident in the province of Girona is 37% higher than the rest of Catalonia, according to figures released by RACC, the Catalan automobile association.

The conclusion of RACC is that the higher risk is due to two thirds of traffic using conventional roads, with the remainder on motorways and other high speed roads, while throughout the remainder of Catalonia the proportions are reversed.

However, I noticed many years ago that drivers in Girona seem to be worse than those in Barcelona, where I lived at the time. It’s difficult to pinpoint, but they seemed to be more unpredictable.
