Girona Airport sees slight passenger growth in October

Girona-Costa Brava Airport saw a miniscule 0.5% increase in passenger numbers in October compared with the same month last year. The airport dealt with 11% more flights than in October 2012, so flights are clearly not as full as they were during the same period last year.

The growth is attributed to Ryanair extending its summer operations and the unseasonably fine weather during October, with passengers making last minute bookings. In comparison, Barcelona Airport saw the number of passengers increase by 2.1% year-on-year.
