Foreigners drive increase in Costa Brava property sales
November 29, 2013 Leave your thoughtsThe sale of properties in the province of Girona was up 9% for the first quarter of 2013 compared with the same period last year mainly due to foreigners buying houses on the Costa Brava and a staggering 41% of transactions in the third quarter were foreign buyers.
Roses was the town with the largest number of transactions, followed by the city of Girona. After those two come Castelló d’Empúries, Lloret de Mar, Castell-Platja d’Aro, Blanes, l’Escala, Figueres, Palafrugell and Torroella de Montgrí.
