Fire brigade deals with Platja d’Aro blaze

Six fire engines and two helicopters were called into service yesterday morning to tackle a blaze near Platja d’Aro. A little more than a hectare of vegetation was burnt during the incident.

No cause for the fire has been given in the local media, but in the hot weather you need to be extra vigilant. It may sound obvious, but don’t through cigarette butts out the window, they are one of the biggest causes of fires during the summer months.
