Fight for historic Palamós castle ends as property is listed for sale

A seven year fight for the Palamós local council to buy a historic eleventh century castle to become has ended after the current owners putting the property on the market for €1.45 million.

Previously the owners had demanded €360,000 from the council for the castle, while the council wanted the property to be handed to them voluntarily.

Located in Bell-Lloc valley, Vila-Roma castle is part of an estate that includes a 400 square metre house situated in 20 acres of land and includes a swimming pool.
