Endesa upgrades power lines to Tossa de Mar

Electricity supplier Endesa has upgraded the supply to Tossa de Mar in order to meet existing and future demands on the power grid.

The power supply to La Selva has been rather flaky in the past with frequent power outages, particularly during thunderstorms, but a number of upgrades over the last few years has improved things beyond all recognition.

Recent work has included replacing a sixty metre stretch of aerial cable with a subterranean one of higher capacity. Great news for anyone living in the area as the power cuts often made it feel like the area was third world.
