DO Empordà continues year on year improvements in Spanish wine guide

The prestigious Spanish wine guide, La Guia Peñín, has rated as excellent 41 wines from the DO Empordà region in its just published 2014 edition. This makes it the best year ever for the region, up from 31 and 38 in the 2012 and 2013 editions respectively and shows how fast DO Empordà wines are progressing.

Another 121 Ampordan wines were rated as very good, with almost all the 31 DO Empordà vineyards receiving at least one very good or excellent rating and shows that the efforts to continuously improve the standing of the region are having the desired effect.
