Cruise liners in Palamós to increase by 38% this year

Palamós is expecting a bumper year for cruise ships with an increase in the number of cruise ships in the port expected to be up 38% this year compared with 2012.

The overall number of passengers though is expected to fall slightly, due in part to an increase in luxury cruise ships with fewer passengers but overall things are looking good for the port.

The United States remains an important market for Mediterranean cruises and Palamós has been targeting Americans jointly with Roses.
