Costa Brava properties picked up by Scandinavian buyers
March 1, 2013Scandinavians are most likely to buy property on the Costa Brava at the moment, according to a report by Lucas Fox International Properties, attracted by wilder winters and the number of golf courses in the vicinity.
Buyers were drawn to Catalonia in the last six months of 2012 thanks to property prices levelling off, both at the luxury end of the market as well as bank repossessions requiring some work.
Spanish buyers remain cautious thanks to the dire state of the economy and mistrust of the property market. Unemployment nationally remains above 25%, with more than half of those blow the age of 25 currently without work.
