Clinic in l’Escala privatised by Catalan health service

The clinic in l’Escala (Alt Ampordà) is to be the first to be run by a private contractor after the Catalan health service (Catsalut) signed the contract on January 25th.

While the Catsalut says there are economic benefits to handing over the day to day running of the clinic to Eulen Servicios Sanitarios the major of Figueres, who is also president of Salut Empordà, responsible for health on the Ampurdan, says they have 15 days to fight the decision, which she claims is wrong.
