Catalonia experiences tourism growth in 2012

The number of foreign tourists visiting Catalonia grew by 10% in 2012, according to figures released earlier today. The increased number of visitors also saw spending increase by 13%.

However, there was a big decline in the number of Spanish and Catalan holidaymakers thanks to the ongoing crisis, which meant the overall increase was 3.5%, still a good enough figure in these hard times.
