Catalan companies on commercial mission to India
December 5, 2013 Leave your thoughtsMore than forty companies have participated in a trip to India to help raise the profile of Catalonia and make initial contact.
Premier Artur Mas headed the commercial mission, the aim of which is partially to consolidate or gauge reaction to Catalonia in India. One of the big industries keen to make an impact in India is tourism, with the Costa Brava tourism board well represented promoting the region’s history, beaches and gastronomy. Let’s hope that it also works the other way and we get a few more decent Indian restaurants arriving on the Costa Brava and surrounding area.
India is another non-traditional tourist market being targeted, with recent success from the Russia as well as raising the profile of Catalonia in Israel and the United States.
