Castell-Platja d’Aro budgets to attend overseas tourism fairs

The department of tourism for Castell-Platja d’Aro has allocated a budget of €25,000 to promote the towns at tourism fairs during 2013. At least six fairs have been targeted, with the major one taking place in Narbonne in France in May.

France is an important source of tourism for the Costa Brava as its close proximity makes it easy to travel south by road. The fairs altogether have close to a million attendees, of which some 200,000 are tourism professionals.
