Blanes to be left with 2 tourist offices

The main tourist office of Blanes is to close from April 8th so that resources can be better allocated, according to the local council. The closure will leave Blanes with two tourist offices during the night of the summer.

The office in question is located in the library and is considered to main tourist office as it contains the department offices in addition to offering a service to tourists.

Until now, all three have been open throughout the year, but figures show that the main tourist office deals with just 6% of all tourism enquiries and so the move appears to make sense. Perhaps what makes less sense is the timing of the closure and it could have been left as a part time operation opening in the summer only.
