Ampurdan jobless figures down on last year

The number of jobless in the Ampurdan has fallen compared with a year ago, showing that perhaps the economy is beginning to recover.

The number of unemployed in the Alt Empordà has fallen -2,18%, while in the Baix Empordà it fell just -0,91% year or year.

The summer always sees the creation of jobs relating to tourist activities, but the fact that there are few unemployed this year given that the summer has been slow in arriving must be seen as encouraging.

Inland the same picture is not repeated though and any recovery is going to take a long time to build any kind of momentum.
