A cold night on the Costa Brava as Catalonia hit by snow

February 24, 2013

Overnight temperatures throughout Catalonia have plunged, with snow covering the south of the region. On the Costa Brava there has been some snow, but no real covering and few have seen more than a few snowflakes.

However, the temperature last night dropped to around -6 degrees Celsius and this morning our water pipes were frozen; no doubt, like last year, many will be suffering the effects of burst pipes.

The cold weather is forecast to continue until Wednesday, when the minimum temperatures will at least rise to above zero.
