A look at the camping options available in Tossa de Mar.
In the 1950s Tossa de Mar became one of the first towns on the Costa Brava to welcome tourists. Famous for its castle perched overlooking the sandy beach, the town has much to offer. While there is not a huge choice of campsites, the ones that are there are high quality.
Camping Can Martí
Rambla Pau Casals, 44
This large campsite has more than 600 tree shaded pitches suitable for tents, caravans and campervans. These range in size between 60 and 120 square metres and 10A power is available if you need it. As you’d expect on a campsite of this scale there is a large pool, bar-restaurant and supermarket. There’s also a sport zone.
In addition to the on site facilities, guests also have access to the gym opposite the campsite where you’ll also find a 25 metre indoor pool. The campsite is on the edge of town and dogs are welcome.
Camping Cala Llevado

Situated on a steep slope right next to the sea, the pitches at Camping Cala Llevado are shaded by cork and pine. All have power and the tent pitches have some of the best views out over the Mediterranean. There are also rental chalets available.
The campsite claims eco credentials and as well as having direct access to the beach this campsite has a large pool plus a paddling pool for kids. You’ll find a bar-restaurant overlooking the pool area with sea views serving Catalan dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients. And there is a supermarket where you can buy essentials without ever leaving the campsite. Dogs are allowed to a maximum weight of 15kg.
Camping Pola

This campsite is perfectly located next to Cala Pola, the cove from which the campsite takes its name. Dogs are admitted in some parts of the campsite only so check with the campsite if you’re planning on taking your furry friend. The campsite has 340 pitches, around half of which are suitable for tents. The campsite also has 80 rental tents suitable for up to five people and a small number of chalets.
On site you’ll find a couple of restaurants serving local and international cuisine, one of which is down on the beach. There is also a bar and a mini-supermarket selling essentials. Because the campsite is surrounded by cork tree forest only electric and gas barbeques are allowed on the campsite.
Camping Tossa
Carretera Llagostera, KM 13
Up in the forest covered hills 4 kilometres above Tossa de Mar you’ll find this campsite. It’s just off the winding road that leads inland to Llagostera and consists of pitches and chalets. Pitches are 50 – 100 square metres in size with 10A power is available for those who need it.
On site you’ll find an a la carte restaurant, a bar serving sandwiches and snacks and a supermarket if you prefer to self cater. There is also a swimming pool and a disco on the campsite, tennis courts and other sporting facilities. While it is a bit of a distance to the beaches you may find the tranquillity here more than makes up for the hustle and bustle of the coast.
