Camping in Sant Feliu de Guíxols

While Sant Feliu de Guíxols has just a single campsite, you’ll find a good selection of campsites if you look further out.

With its rich history, unspoilt centre and fantastic kid friendly beaches, Sant Feliu de Guíxols is a great summer holiday option. There you can combine a beach holiday with learning about the area, getting to know the culture and sampling the cuisine.

But if you’re looking to camp you’re hardly spoilt for choice. The town has a single campsite which mainly provides rental chalets. If you’re looking to sleep under canvas, or bring your caravan or camper van, they have very few plots available.

However, if you look at staying in one of the campsites out of town the beaches are easily reached by car. You’ll find campsites at Santa Cristina d’Aro and Platja d’Aro, all three to four kilometres from Sant Feliu. Parking is pretty easy, particularly if you head to the excellent Platja Sant Pol.

Here you’ll find paid parking near the beach as well as free parking with a short walk. And, depending on the campsite, a bike can be a good option to get to the beach too

Camping Sant Pol

Carrer del Doctor Fleming, 118

Camping Sant Pol belongs to the Yelloh! Village network of “camping villages” which, as well as Spain, provides top-of-the-range camping and caravanning throughout France and Portugal. Open between April and November, the majority of the accommodation is chalets and lodges rather than simple pitches.

Located just 350 metres from the beach, the campsite’s gardens have more than 300 varieties of trees, flowers and other plants. There is also a heated swimming pool, which has a bar serving drinks and snacks and sandwiches. You can also order breakfast. The restaurant serves a mixture of local and international dishes, including pizza.

It is the only campsite within Sant Feliu itself and just 500 metres from the town centre. Pets are allowed in most accommodation but check with the campsite before booking.
