Cadaqués camping

Cadaqués is known for its picturesque whitewashed buildings and its long association with artists attracted by the quality of the light.

Best known is Salvador Dalí, who was originally from Figueres but spent his summers on the coast at nearby Portlligat with his family. Later in life he bought a number of fishermen’s cottages and converted the into a house, which he then proceeded to decorate in his usual eccentric style.

While most visitors to Cadaqués stay in one of the numerous hotels and hostals or in a holiday house or apartment, the town does still offer anyone looking for somewhere to pitch a tent or park their caravan or motorhome for a week or two. The campsite lies on the road towards Portlligat.
