Llançà camping

Perhaps because of the the rocky terrain, there are few campsites in the very north of the Costa Brava. Most people visiting Llançà stay in holiday apartments and villas but the town does have a single campsite. It’s just off the road to Colera and around 500 metres from the train station.

Camping L’Ombra

Carrer l’Ombra, 4

Usually the campsite is open year round is within easy walking distance of both the town and the beach with pitches shaded by pine and olive trees. In fact l’ombra means “the shade” or “shadow” in Catalan.

The campsite is fairly basic so if you’re looking to eat out you’ll need to head into town. That may or not be what you’re looking for. On site is a swimming pool open during July and August and you’ll find a bar, barbeque area, supermarket and washing facilities.

If you’re looking to enjoy the natural environment of Cap de Creus then Llançà is well situated and serious walkers will find the GR-11 and GR-92 hiking trails conveniently close by. It’s also close enough to the French border to visit for the day.

If this campsite doesn’t suit your requirements then check out both nearby Colera and Port de la Selva. For a more complete list of campsites see Costa Brava camping.
