Summer train service links Figueres with beaches

A train connecting Figueres with a number of beach resorts is to operate at weekends between 6th July and 1st September, allowing anyone without a car to access the sea easily.

“Sunrail” will run a round trip service twice a day on Saturday and Sunday between Figures and Portbou, close to the French border, with stops at Vilajuïga, Llançà and Colera. The timetable doesn’t yet appear to be available, but hopefully the service will be offered at times that are useful to get to and from the beach.

Tourists making use of the service will also be entitled to a discount at the Dalí museum.
